Mobility in Slovenia – second week
(7. 3. until 13. 3. 2022)

In the second week of the exchange, work based learning for students began. Till the end of mobility students will be gaining new knowledge at Iskraemeco.

On Monday, March 7th and Tuesday, March 8th, the teachers were with Aleš Kozjek, who showed them the ways of teaching in the field of CNC technologies and gave them information on where to obtain learning materials, licenses … Teacher from Estonia accompanied them.

On Wednesday, March 9, teachers had “Jobshadowing” in the field of electrotechnics and smart installations with Aleš Bregar. They reviewed the curriculum, materials and opportunities for collaboration.

On Thursday, March 10th, a visit to Iskraemeco was organised. Both teachers, as well as the principal Irma Behlulović and an English professor from the Srednja škola metalskih zanimanja Sarajevo visited their students at the company. The program of WBL at the company will allow them to see the whole production process and understand it.

After returning to school we had a meeting dedicated to cooperation with companies. Bodil Mygind Madsen (SOSU, Denmark), Jože Drenovec (director of ŠC Kranj), Aljaž Rogelj (headmaster Technical Secondary School), Lidija Grmek Zupanc (headmistress of Vocational College, ŠC Kranj), Barbara Krajnc (Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia), Nataša Kristan Primšar (head of MIC ŠC Kranj) and Aleš Ovsenik (organizer PUD, ŠC Kranj) were active in the debate.

Friday, March 11th, was dedicated to the evaluation of the project, led by the project manager Bodil Mygid Madsen. The students told what happened to them in these two weeks in Slovenia, what they like and what they didn’t. They pointed out that they would like more contact with peers.

Mrs. Bodil also did an interview with both teachers, headmistress Irma Behlulović and Eldin Gabrovica. Nataša Kristan Primšar, Viktor Stare and Lidija Grmek Zupanc also gave their opinions.

The busy day dedicated to the evaluation ended with a pleasant conversation over dinner, which was organized at the Brioni Restaurant and Café.

March 12th. A clear Saturday was dedicated to an excursion to Postojna Cave and Predjama Castle.

A special experience for both professors and students was the sea in Portorož, and we also visited Piran.

In the evening we said goodbye to professors Nihad and Alem, who returned to Sarajevo on Sunday, March 13th.
