Mobility of students and teachers
from Kosovo to Slovenia

March 9 to March 15, 2024

In accordance with all previous agreements, a group of 4 students and 2 professors traveled to Kranj from the IAAP school “Rifat Gjota”, Peja (Kosovo) on Friday, March 1, 2024. Students Elma Panxha and Elena Hajdari and students Adi Kollqaku and Rinor Lokaj will stay in Kranj for a whole month, until Friday, March 29, when they will return home.
Two professors will be with them in Kranj for the first two weeks of the exchange, namely Mrs. Fikreta Mehović and Mr. Lulzim Mulliqi, and the third and fourth weeks of the exchange will be held in Kranje by Mrs. Ganimete Nikçi and Mrs. Rina Vuthi – Hysenaj.

Day 9 of the visit, March 9, 2024

Saturday was dedicated to visiting Planica, which is a modern jumping and running center in the glacial mountain under Ponce. We followed with interest the preparations for the traditional conclusion of the Ski Jumping World Cup, which will take place between March 21 and 24, 2024. In the building of the Nordic Center Planica, we saw all the interesting exhibitions and possibilities it offers. We also saw a working wind tunnel. This was followed by a trip to Mojstrana and a visit to the Slovenian Planinski muzej (Mountaineering Museum). It is intended to present the development of this field from its beginnings. Some attention in the museum is also devoted to Slovenian mountaineering expeditions to the highest peaks in the world.

Day 10 of the visit, March 10, 2024. Due to a technical breakdown of the school van, the excursion was cancelled, but we agreed that Viktor Stare would take the two teachers to the Slovenian coast on Wednesday, March 13, at 1 p.m. Students have this course in the program in 2 weeks.

11th day of the visit, 11 March 2024. On Monday, the group listened to lectures by Robert Šifrer on modeling and simulations of the electrical network.

12th day of the visit, 12 March 2024.

The group listened to lectures by Robert Šifrer on heat pumps. At his own request, the teacher from Kosovo received additional consultations in the field of CNC machines from Aleš Kozjek.

13th day of the visit, 13 March 2024

The group listened to lectures by Robert Šifrer on electric cars and fuel cells. In the afternoon Viktor Stare took the two teachers on a tour of Koper and Piran.

14th day of the visit, 14 March 2024. On Thursday, the group visited the pneumatics class with dr. Kristof Debeljak. Teacher Lulzim Mulliqi had a few extra hours with Aleš Kozjek in the field of CNC machines.
The two teachers from Kosovo were given the opportunity to see the company where the students will go for their internship on March 18, 2024, i.e. the company Iskra PRO d.o.o., Savska Loka 4, Kranj.
In the evening, there was a farewell dinner in Brioni, where the project manager Mrs. Bodil from Denmark was also present.

The 15th day of the visit, 15 March 2024. This Friday morning took place according to the following schedule: Mrs. Bodil, the project manager, led the evaluation from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. with both teachers, Mrs. Fikreto and Mr. Lulzim. From 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Mrs. Bodil led the evaluation with all 4 students, and from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with the participants in the project from ŠC Kranj. We also discussed the workshop that we will conduct at the final meeting in Kosovo, which will take place on 16 April and 17 April 2024.
On that day, Viktor Stare took care of transporting the two first-shift teachers to the Jože Pučnik Airport in Ljubljana, where they had a plane to Pristina. Two new teachers from Peja flew in that day, Mrs. Ganimete Nikçi and Mrs. Rina Vuthi – Hysenaj. In the afternoon, a professional program in pneumatics was held for students.
