Mobility of students and teachers from
Montenegro to Slovenia

3rd week report  

(13. 3. – 19. 3. 2023)

The meeting of representatives from the School Centre Kranj, Secondary School of Metal Professions and lead partner took place on 10th and 11th January 2022 in Sarajevo. The main subject were mobilities of teachers and students from Secondary School of Metal Professions in Kranj (Slovenia).

On the first day representatives of the ministry and the municipality were present at the meeting. The headmistress of Secondary School of Metal Professions, Irma Behlulović, delivered an address followed by all the guests: the Minister of Education of the Sarajevo Canton: Naida Hota Muminović and the Mayor of Sarajevo: Srđan Mandić.

Ms. Bodil Mygind Madsen, project coordinator, presented the content, purpose and the main objectives of the project. The Mayor of Sarajevo, Srđan Mandić, supported the idea of the project. The Minister of Education of the Sarajevo Canton, Naida Hota Muminović, expressed the desire and interest to develop new guidelines for updating the curriculum and to develop new educational standards for the field of metallurgy. In addition to the above, the representatives of the partner school also expressed their wishes and expectations regarding the project, namely they expressed a desire to improve:

· organization of the mobility process through the given examples of good practices;

· develop ways to attract young people to this project;

· Ensure more autonomy and interest in VET at the Ministry of Education;

· start integrating entrepreneurship into the curriculum;

The main purpose of the meeting was to create a concrete plan for the implementation of mobility in March 2022. Representatives of the partner school presented expectations about mobility in Slovenia and together we set dates for the arrival of teachers and students in Kranj, the content of their activities during mobility … We agreed that one of the main purposes of the project is to provide some positive practices in teaching, as well as in the work-based learning of students within companies.

At the end of the meeting, all participants were very satisfied with what was achieved, as we formed the foundation for the concrete implementation of mobility.

The next international meeting will be in Budva, Montenegro. The topic of the meeting will be evaluation of mobilities.
