Copenhagen Seminar

(30. 05. – 31. 05. 2023)

An important project event took place in Denmark 30th and 31st May 2023: The VET4WB Copenhagen Seminar.
Representatives from ministries in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro and Albania took part in the event together with directors from the project partner schools in the same countries. During the seminar, they were informed about the Danish VET system with a focus on the cooperation between companies and schools, and among the keynote speakers were representatives from the Danish Ministry of Education and from the Danish umbrella organization of employers. The participants of the seminar were also introduced to some of the results of the VET for Western Balkans project:
the mobilities, the trainings, the new VET4WB website, the Learning Platform and the Booklets for VET teachers in Western Balkans.

On the second day of the meeting, a study visit was paid to the Danish VET school NEXT, where the participants had the opportunity to listed to a presentation about the school, to have a guided tour at the school and to discuss with managers, teachers and students.
The meeting ended with a discussion about future cooperation and about how sustainability of projects results can be ensured.

From Kosovo participated Head of VET Department, Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation and Head of Division for Quality Assurance and Standards on VET, Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation together with the director of the Kosovo project partner school in Peje. From Montenegro: General director of the Directorate for General Secondary Education, Vocational Education and Lifelong Learning in the Ministry of Education and Head of Department for research and development of qualifications together with the director of the Montenegro project partner school in Podgorica. From Albania, Specialist of Education and Vocational Training Policies in the Directorate of Employment and Vocational Training Policies and Head of the VET department in the National Agency of Employment and skills (NAES) together with the directors of the two new project partner schools in Shkodra and Dürres and finally from Bosnia-Herzegovina, Minister of Education and Minister’s advisor for VET education together with the director of the Bosnia-Herzegovina project partner in Sarajevo.
